Two thieves on a motor-scooter flew by and snatched a woman's purse on a street in Wenzhou, China. Surveillance video shows a man riding a bicycle. As he was passing by the front of a hotel near where the thievery happened, he stopped, calmly got off his bicycle, picked it up, and then threw it at the thieves. The bicycle hit them, they lost control, and crashed to the ground.

So I decided to hop on a plane and go to NY to do some X-Mas shopping. I have quite a few people on my list this year, so Santa and I have arranged some special treats for everyone who's been "good" this year. So far I've gotten my immediate family out of the way, now time to take care of my friends!

This time around I decided to stay at the Dream Hotel in midtown and i love it! Its really clean and nice. I recommend it as a no frills, trendy, clean hotel...although it gets a bit cold unless u put the temp up to 78 ;)

Yves Béhar Unveils the World’s Fastest Electric Motorcycle

Just yesterday Yves Béhar unveiled the Mission One, the world’s fastest electric production motorcycle. The fantastic looking bike is the brainchild of Mission Motors and Fuseproject, and is designed to have a top speed of 150mph, with a range of around 150 miles. Yves Béhar’s projects have always exhibited a deft balance between stunning aesthetics and sustainable design, and his latest opus is no exception.
If you were to name some of the coolest projects that you’ve seen here at Inhabitat, the odds are that at least one of them was conceived by industrial designer extraordinaire Yves Béhar. Unveiled at this year’s TED conference, the Mission One motorcycle is the designer’s latest groundbreaking design. The fully electric motorcycle boasts 100 lb-ft of torque and is powered by a high-energy lithium-Ion battery that charges in under two hours.
The bike is currently being exhibited at the Kohler Livinghome at the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. The first 50 bikes will be delivered in 2010, and will run a cool $68,995, so it’s time to start saving.

Apple Buys Lala.com, Price not Disclosed

Apple today confirmed that it has purchased the popular music site Lala.com.

Apple Inc. has purchased online music retailer Lala.com, a Silicon Valley startup that has threatened “the end of the MP3″ with its fast song-streaming application.

Apple spokesman Steve Dowling confirmed the purchase Sunday, but would not provide any further information, including how much the deal was worth.

“Apple buys smaller technology companies from time to time and we generally do not comment on our purpose or plans,” he said.

Lala has developed an application — not yet available to the public — that allows users to buy the right to stream songs from a digital locker for an unlimited time on their iPhones for 10 cents each.

The song quality is lower than what Apple’s iTunes songs offer, but tracks can played in seconds, and cost much less than the songs on iTunes, which generally are priced at 69 cents to $1.29 each.

Lala, a private company based in Palo Alto, Calif., was launched in 2006 with $35 million in venture capital from Bain Capital LLC, Ignition Partners and Warner Music Group Corp. Lala began as an online CD-trading site but relaunched in October 2008 as a music retailer.

Forewarning, when reading this realize this is my view point and be tolerant if you ever want anyone to take your view point tolerantly.

I get it. Sometimes you have to fight evil with evil. If you put a flower into someones gun and they shoot you, your peace stood for nothing. The entire principal of our beautiful countries peace stands on the foundation that we will resort to violence any time our peace is threatened, beyond what we can handle with diplomacy. Afghanistan is a country with an interesting history. They used to have a king. This king ruled well. He let each town, city, territory manage itself with its own chiefs and leaders. It is a country who's majority people are ruled by religious principals as opposed to secular ones. So the question comes down to...how do you go about trying to defend against religious extremism in a country full of people who's view points are religious. Now, I understand fully that extremism is the minority, and that the Muslim view point is not much different then the Christian one when viewed in terms of the end goal. The end goal of any religion is love, peace, happiness, community and a connectedness with whatever god you believe in. Religion is for positivity, mainly. But there are people who would take something like religion and use it as a tool to increase their power. These people will take words from holy books and reinterpret them to mean whatever they would like in order to beguile or coerce less intelligent and weaker people into following their will. In certain cases these people will wage holy wars, call to arms others and create dichotomies between groups of people where they never existed. And so the closer truth is that there exist two battling view points, and these view points are Pluralism (A condition in which numerous distinct ethnic, religious, or cultural groups are present and tolerated within a society) VS. Extremism (a tendency or disposition to go to extremes or an instance of going to extremes, esp. in political and religious matters ). So.....more or less, tolerance vs. intolerance.

So when Obama is awarded the peace prize in the midst of sending 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan, and defends his stance with saying we cannot tolerate evil, I get it. Tolerance is for the tolerant. And the intolerant will be met with the same in return. This is the way of political security and civil evolution. Perhaps, and a few hundred years people will evolve into a more peaceful bunch and we wont have to face these kinds of issues, especially as every field of study evolves with new discoveries of truth. We find out more and more about the world daily and more and more people are awakening to deeper, more connected truths about our world and universe and that we are all human. This, I hope, will come to pass. But for now we must fight extremism.

The most amazing action/death/kill movie Ive seen to this date. WOW! There were so many amazing actions scenes in this flick I don't know where to begin. I wont give any of the storey away but will comment on how gruesome and mesmerizing the kills were and how vampiricly the ninjas moved through the shadows(shadow clan). It was shot very very well with some amazing camera tricks and techniques and although the storey was americanized beyond what I think it should have been it still did what it was ment to do in my opinion. I recommend this movie for anyone who enjoys action/death/violence/cult movies because you will get all the bang for your buck.

so I have plans to develop an online store where you or anyone else can purchase Simon Dexter gear, photo prints, autographed prints, memorabilia, clothes (worn and or signed) so that I can share more of me with you. It should be up and running shortly but for now if you are interested in anything feel free to email me directly and I'll respond as soon as I can :)

Besides that, what is everyone doing for thanksgiving? I plan to celebrate with the family so that will be fun! However I do have a small problem with thanksgiving in terms of what the holiday really is based on. I do understand that giving thanks is awesome, we should all be grateful for what we have, regardless of our situations, because life could always be worse! But thanks giving is a holiday that was created when the original pilgrim settlers met with the Indians, bla bla bla and the Indians taught them how to farm and cultivate the land which in turn allowed them to develop a sustainable civilization here. My problem with this is that all of this happened and then the settlers began to steal land from the native Americans, kill them, rape there women and pillage there villages. As this continued it progressed in the resettling native Americans onto smaller and smaller plots of land until we practically wiped out all traces of native American culture and history. Ant not to mention the stereotypical cowboy vs. Indian pop culture America was oh so happy to propagate and prosper off of.

So i guess what I'm trying to say is that thanks giving is more like a thanks taking. You get it? So this holiday why not think of all the things that happened that led to America being here and being the way it is and really go back and think who should we thanks and why. Or more so who should we apologize to, not necessarily us apologizing directly, but apologizing for.

150th post...and its a good one

It feels so good knowing that America is one step closer, or rather 2 steps closer to having government provided health care. Last night or rather this morning the senate voted 60 to 40 to open the debate on the health care bill that our awesome president has proposed. Now, lets not get into politics and argue about this...because I just wont post your comment if you disagree with me :) j/k... but in reality, or my opinion, it's about time. So many other countries have had a functioning government sponsored healthcare system thats its a shame that America is just now working on its own. So lets keep our fingers crossed that inafter thanksgiving when the senate gets back into debating the bill and looking at it to make amendments that it passes and moves closer to the final stage, where Barak scribbles his Hancock and we all live hapily ever after!

To BE HUMAN, a messege I can stand behind

Searching for content to blog about on the net, I ran into this video on youtube which clearly and evocatively describes a messege being communicated by a variety of different people who are all connected by a single strand, being human. In life we all search for connection, for meaning, for substance. But sometimes we forget that who we are is one of the most important things in this life, or at least on this planet. To be human means soooooo much. There is so much connection in that single word, HUMAN. It ties in all sexual preferences, religious creeds, cultural upbringings, languages and behavioral traits. We are all human yet we often forget and begin to find ways to divide ourselves from others based on superficial differences. And I won't dare put myself on a pedestal and say I don't, because I too am human and imperfect. But that imperfection is also part of being human and therefore forgivable. Yet it is my personal opinion that we should all strive to look for the things the bind us together, the things that make us alike and connected as opposed to separate. It's such a simple concept. So....watch the video, look into it more, there are many more connected to this initial video, and post some responses on how you feel about being human.

ode to coffee

At my home, we drink coffee, no questions. If you don't drink coffee, you probably don't fit in well here.

Just kidding, but in all seriousness with my lifestyle I don't really see a way of living without my black gold. I mean, not only does it wake me up, keep me up and alert, it also tastes amazing with a bit of sugar and milk, no?

So I want to give a shout out to the coffee brand we've all come to love at my home, 8 O'clock coffee. It's 100% Arabica beans and is manufactured in NJ. Though it's no premium or boutique coffee, it does provide the most bang for the buck that I've found to date. And the taste delivers. You can choose from several flavors including Colombian, French roast, hazelnut, and of course regular.

So if you haven't yet tried it, go out and do yourself a favor. You won't be disappointed.

Finally Home

I've returned from LA and man have I been on a marathon. It's good to touch down in Chicago and feel the good ol' Midwest air. I have plenty of pictures to share from this trip and will post them all as I get them back from a few different peoples cameras. I visited Universal Studios but didn't go in as it was to close to closing so I walked around the shops and stores. I also visited Rodeo Drive in the night time and took some cool photos with a friend. Prada was launching a new coffee table book and my fiend and I walked right through the gated event not knowing it was something and had security stop us and ask if we were going to the event. It was a stuffy and almost empty event anyway so whatever!

I stayed at the Universal Studios Hilton which is a very cool spot. I also made an appearance at Mickey's night club which was a great turn out and really fun! What up Scotty B!

Sunny LA, I love California but its no NY. I hear NY calling me back already. Another trip? You betcha! Coming up soon!

So last week I took off to DC to do shoots for Axe body spray and got some AMAZING results...(stay tuned for that) Then I flew back to Chicago for some rest and repose, (Chicago fire won 2-0) only to go back to DC this last Saturday (Fedor Emeliananko won in the second round, Strike force) and just left today for Boston. So now I'm here in Boston doing some touristing' and fun and then I'm off to Seattle tomorrow for the first time, only to follow it with LA on the 11th till 14th. I'm super excited to be able to travel, some fun and some work and have taken a tremendous amount of amazing photos thus far that I can't wait to share with you.

So after arriving in Boston today I had dinner with a good friend at B&G Oysters. The restaurant is a wonderful blend of straight and gay crowd in the southern side of Boston, or Southie, and offers an amazing selection of 12 oysters ranging in origin from the east to the west coast. Also they offer some of Bostons best clam chowder ;)

Being here for my first time I had to take a small tour of the neighborhoods and check out the skyline. Boston reminds me of the upper east side neighborhood of NY but has a slightly different charm which I must say I like quite a bit.

So in LA I will be appearing in Micky's nightclub and will have autographed photos for sale so come out and see me!!!

Also, I want to give a shout out to Cutie Polish! ....holla at me!

Head to Head

I recently got to drive the Camaro SS, and the Dodge Challenger RT and they blew me away. I fell in love with both with the amount of power, the amazing handling and the stylish looks they both provide. I have not yet driven the Ford Mustang and quite frankly I don;t want to. i have never been attracted to the Mustang and probably never will. I think subconsciously It's one of those cars that I see old ladies driving and it turns me off.

Anyway, back to the Camaro and Challenger. These two cars i have to say are the BEST looking, best driving, domestic cars I have seen on the road in the states. As you may well know now I am a Benz/BMW car guy and love foreign sports sedans. So the idea of enjoying a domestic, and especially a 2 door coupe to me seemed strange. However it was with brilliant ease that these cars won over my affections.

The challenger is bigger then the Camaro and a bit smoother, more true to its original look. It weighs 300lbs more then the Camaro and just from looks you can tell. It is really a true beast. The Camaro is much faster though with 400 plus HP and has much sharper edges in the body. It also comes with a RS package that alters the wheels to bigger nicer ones and changes the light package to a unique, more "menacing" look.

If you haven't yet seen one of these cars let alone driven one, I suggest you head over to your local dealer and test drive one as soon as you can.

NY wins the world series! 27th time!

I watched the last game and man was it good! Yankees 7 - 3 Phillies. It was a pretty lopsided game but still entertaining to watch with my Philly fan roomie. Seething in anger and complaining about the game play, he was swearing up a storm the entire game, except during the few home runs hit by the Phillies. It seemed for a minuet during mid game that perhaps the Phillies could rally and come back, but no, the Yankees really came through and destroyed the Phillies. Now I'm a Chicago fan but my secondary is NY so the series was great for me. It's to bad I didn't bet on this game, I couldn't find anyone willing to take my bet except my roomie but that's not something I wanted to do to him ;)

So who watched the game? Any sports fans here? If not baseball what sports?

I played Soccer, Baseball, Wrestling, Track, and Martial arts plus I swam and played tennis for a few summers so I grew up around sports all my life :)

Test shoot for AXE body spray and Blue magazine

I just got back from DC last night where for a few days I test shot for Axe body spray and Blue magazine. If the test shots are selected, I will return to DC in a few weeks and shoot the real images for print in major magazines. Super exciting for me. I'm a bit fatigued from all the travel but I can rest when I'm dead right? Right. Anyway...happy belated Halloween! What did you all dress up as? I wanted to dress up as an Astronaut and bought my costume, helmet and all, but didn't have time to go party it up because I needed to rest for the next day. So, when all my friends were out partying it up I was sound asleep getting ready for success ;) Ha!

Ah the Big Apple...

I never tire of it. Every trip I learn and explore more and more. So this trip I arrived at 330pm at Laguardia and hopped a cab over to my friend Alex's house on E 37th and settled in. We grabbed a bite to eat at JP Clark's and after, I checked into the Mariner hotel which I must say is quite a nice spot. After checking in I hit the NYSC gym for a 2 hr work out which I finally feel I am getting back in to pre-operation shape. I had a midnight photo shoot with Reni - RLSALIBA of NY and will post the photos shortly.

We shot till about 3 am and the photos turned out amazing, exactly the James Bond, James Dean look I was going for. After returning to the hotel I immediately fell asleep from exhaustion. I woke up the next morning at 8am and had a large breakfast consisting of 4 eggs over easy, a fruit plate, orange juice, coffee and an assorted pastry plate. Right after I went to NYSC and had another great work out, incorporating heavy bag training, punches and kicks. There after I met with the Owner of VincentLambert.com at Bryant Park and we had a lovely conversation over Coffee while he interviewed me for his blog.

After parting ways I made my way over to the Major Model Management office to meet with Jason Kanner to discuss possibly working with them. I had let him know I recently had surgery and wouldn't be in the best shape of my life and he said lets meet anyway. We had a great conversation and he said he loved my face. We both agreed I should return after regaining my peak physique and he also referred me to their Chicago sister agency Chosen. All in all it was a successful meeting for what I was trying to accomplish, namely to introduce my self to Major. Afterward I met with Paul Reitz for a quick coffee and to catch up on good times.

I had tickets for Carnegie Hall that night for a special broadcast of NPR's Wait Wait Don't Tell Me with the host Peter Sagal and co host Carl Castle. The special guest of the evening was NBC's Brian WIlliams who was an absolute smash hit with the fans. The show was amazing and the crowd was full of New York's upper class well-to-do's with some big names in the stands! After the show I went out with my friends Alex and Oska to a nice Russian vodka bar/restaurant, the Russian Samovar. We sampled the apple cinnamon vodka and had a plate of could cuts with horse radish and the salted herring with onion on the side, traditional Rusio-Polish dishes :) Not wanting to call it a night yet, we followed that up with heading over to the rooftop of the dream hotel to the bar Ava where we had some cocktails, shared sex stories and a ton of good laughs.

We finished our drinks an parted ways and I checked into the Gem Hotel in Chelsea for the night. Let me tell you, what a terrible hotel, it had no room service and was tiny, like staying in a closet. Luckily I was to tired to care and fell fast asleep. So a new day began and I met with Alex for breakfast at a nice Jewish deli, The Sarge's. We then proceed to NYCS for another workout and then I took a nap back at his place. After getting up we visited Alice's Tea Cup, an absolutely delightful Rea Room/Restaurant. There were so many beautiful waitress girls there and I got a number from this fierce southern redhead beauty to join me at a haunted house a group of us are going to on Saturday. Today marks my 4 month aniversary...

Well it seems I have been blogging for four months today and I must say, time fly's. It seems like only yesterday I decided to start this site and introduced myself into the world of internet blogging. All in all, I really really enjoy it. Having a blog is like owning a piece of the internet so to say. I guess that could go for anyone who runs or has a website or blog, perhaps they share my feelings. More then just a place to display my photos, it is a venue for me to share my thoughts, my work, my feelings, to connect with other people and in general it is an outlet for anything I want to show or say.

It seems like you can find anything on the internet these day. From smut to lessons on how to speak any language you'd like, the internet has become a haven for any and everything you could ever imagine. And so it's refreshing to know that of all the things you could be looking at on the internet, you're spending a little bit of time reading and viewing my content.

Thanks, and I will continue to try to provide content that is fresh, upbeat, intelligent, provocative, sexy and fun.

P.S. Did anyone watch the Daily show with John Stewart last night? Jackie Robinson a Republican? lol.
The FDA has approved a Swine Flu vaccine. I don't know about you but I haven't taken a flu shot since the third grade. I think I'll be fine on my own. I understand it can help many who have a weaker immune system, I just choose to go without it.
Anyone notice how the Daily show with John Stewart has become more of a republican watchdog then just plain comedy show? I love it. You can get your laughs and facts cross checked all in one show. Now, politically, I'm not for nor against one party vs. another, I'm just pro good policy. And the show calls out stupidity, Bi-partisanly'.
So I'm going to NY from the 21st till the 28th! Super excited about that. Its more of a pleasure trip then business however I will go to a few acting castings to get my feet wet and see whats out there. I may also do a photo shoot or two, but it depends on how I feel.
Winter is coming so fast I already miss summer. Just put away my shorts and took my jackets and coats out of storage. I hope for a mild winter.

Everyone should know by now I love nanotechnology and the prospects of design and function that reside in it's potential. I came across this video of a Nokia concept phone and it's creativity is striking. The phone can be changed into 3 different forms (potentially any number of forms would be possible) and has a myriad of functions before unavailable to any phone. It's a sexy little device with a scratch, spill resistent surface that can stretch, recharge on solar energy and detect any number of potentially harmful particles in the air. Needless to say it's a showcase of what nanontechnology could do on a small scale that could be aplied into different facets of life.

First official snow of Chicago

Driving in Chicago last night, i was hit with the first few snow flakes of the coming winter. They were quite small and most people probably didn't notice them, but i did and wanted to officially give notice to them. It happened around 10pm last night on the south side.

My official goodbye/ode to Summer

My two friends who are both singers, one an amazing professional and the other an alright amateur, where debating the right attitude in singing "summertime". My amateur friend sang the song and tried to convince us that his down tempo, depressing, self loathing version was a good way to portray that song, and of course my professional friend completely disagreed. He said the song isn't depressing per say, but instead supposed to be sang in a melodic way that soothes and doesn't show the singer to be narcissistic. The song can be soulful, but doesn't have to make you sad. It is more about the beauty then making you feel down. So the debate grew a little and to settle it the professional singing friends pulled up this version of "summertime" by Ella Fitzgerald to make his point. Instantly the debate was over and the entire room, all 6 or my buds grew deathly silent and listened to this most beautiful rendition.

And so after hearing this version, It made me officially realize hat summer is over and that winter is fast approaching. This fall has already proven to be quite cold and though the predicted winter is said to be mild, all feelings of summer have no escaped from me and I have accepted winters embrace.

Obama wins Nobel Peace Prize

Ok, now I am probably the biggest Obama champion around, I mean I pretty much love everything the guy does, but being awarded the Nobel Peace prize is something even I wouldn't expect Obama to win. After all, he hasn't had enough time in public service to accomplish anything of significance beside being elected the first black president in American history. Not that that is a small feat, its actually quite a huge accomplishment, but by definition it has nothing to do with peace or the humanitarian cause. It's a political office and not a set of actions to show his human/civil rights actions. Now, I caught the news late...i just learned about it and I was amazed. I guess if other more noteworthy people think he deserves it perhaps he does. I honestly don;t have much info about this so if anyone could fill me in please do!!!

I just wanted to say thank you to you my fans for reading my blog. Very rarely do people take the time out in their days to thank someone for something, yet I think its one of the most important things to do. To show appreciation to others is the same as showing you care. Because I do care. I care about you responding to what I post, I read and care about every comment left. And so I want to address something. To anyone who is posting positive, uplifting, even constructive criticisms thank you. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to look at my blog and read my writing and think about my ideas. And thank you for sharing your thoughts and views. But most importantly, Id like to thank those people who don't like me, who don't like what I do or say or think or show. I want to thank them because even they take the time out of their days to comment on my blog. It just shows that even those who hate me feel strongly enough about me that they want to write me a comment. Because after all they probably think that It will shed some light on the way I live, or perhaps they think they are doing me a favor by telling me that my work sucks, which to them It might. I'm so happy that they feel it is so imperative to writ to me that if they don't their day would be ruined. Because after all, they went online, went to my blog, read through a post, and then thought about it, decided to write, took the time to write, then clicked send comment. And all that takes time. Maybe like 5 mins or more. But it still takes time, time they could have spent doing anything else in the world but they spent it with me... Kind of ironic isn't it? Me personally I love it. I love my lovers, and I love my haters...because without either there would be no support for this blog nor for my work :)

So keep doing what you're doing. Cuz haters, your really just lovers underneath it all looking to love but can't find the way. And I can appreciate that.

A friend of mine recently got me a new Zune HD 32 gb platinum brought to you by Microsoft. I have to say, Apple, you're about to get a run for your money. The Zune HD has a high def screen, HD radio, an exceptional battery life and an overall sleek and sexy interface. I love the way the touch screen works and the amount of time that was taken to create the screen saver option while in play mode. Though it doesn't work with a Mac, it still makes you look at your iPod touch or iPhone with a little less pride. I wish they would have attached a phone feature, the only thing that's really missing in my opinion. The Zune can work as a normal MP3 player or you can get a Zune Pass to the market place for 15$ per month and gain access to an unlimited amount of album downloads. Now, you are renting these albums but get to keep them as long as you pay your 15$ a month, and they allow you to keep 10 songs per month for free, which is pretty cool. As compared to iTunes, where most songs cost $1.29, this is a clever idea and a great way to give users a ton of music.

A worthy Cause, my friends Alex Goldman is raising money for kidney disease awareness and so I offered to help spread the word. Here is the message as follows:

Dear Friend,

On Sunday, October 25, 2009, I will be walking in the Kidney & Urology Foundation's annual New York walk, the Walk in Central Park, to raise awareness and funds to fight kidney disease and to increase the availability of all organs for transplantation.

While I have made an initial donation, I need everyone's support to reach my goal of raising $20,000+ to benefit the programs and services of the Foundation. Last year I raised over $15,000; this year I really wish to surpass that number. I have also worked on many events for the Kidney & Urology Foundation including an outreach program for pediatric patients affected with kidney disease.

So this is a scene from Barefoot in the Park. This is my first attepmt at stage acting and you can tell my nerves are a bit up. Though I was playing a corky character who was supposed to be similar to Ross from Friends, you could tell my breath was a bit short and I could have benefited from deeper breathing. Halo 3 odstIf you don't know, I consider myself an amateur gamer and when a game comes out as large as Halo 3 odst, I have to go out and experience it for myself. My room mates and I just got our hands on it and it plays rather similar to all the other Halo games, with slight differences. The game is open world and expansive and seems rather large. Throughout the game you will experience several different characters, Shock troopers, who assist you the Rookie, throughh out your missions. You are in the African city New Mumbasa fighting mostly the same Convent monsters, Though you cannot dual wield wepons, you have the ability to hold two weapons and cycle through. Instead of a flashlight you have a special visor that allows you to see in several different modes. One thing I dont like the is the health meter, or lack there of. Instead of it I'm learning you gage your health by the color you see in your visor as your getting hit. Red=near death/blue=healthy

Need For Speed Shift
This game I'm hooked on, when I have any time to play. A racing simulator that is very much reality based, this game is the closest you'll come in my opinion to taking the track your self. The need for speed series of games has taken several various evolutions from arcade racer, illegal street racing, legal street racing, back to illegal street racing and came back full circle to this simulator. The amount of customization, upgrading and actual manual tuning you can do to these cars is impressive. The amount of amazing cars you get access to is even better. From lowly tier 1 honda civics to tier 4 bugatti veyrons, this game embodies what any good simulator should: variety and realism.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
What can I say about this game? Everyone knows I'm a hero freak and this game packs them by the dozens. From well known ones: Storm, Gambit, the Fantastic Four, Hulk, Spiderman, Juggernaught, to less known ones for some: Bishop, Song Bird, Iron Fist, Dead Pool, and Pennance, this is a game for a group of people to sit around and play together. Though you can play through you're self, theres nothing like having three of your buds allongside with you, each using there special abilities in the game to vanquish the other side. This game resembles the first one, but certain features are missing. In the first one you had 10 to 12 different abilites from which to choose where as in this game you get four static abilities that you must hone. Overal a great game if you don't mind the repetitiveness.

Movies I've seen lately

I recently went to the movies and saw G.I. Joe and Halloween 2, both of which I enjoyed thoughroly, and obviously for different reasons.

Rob Zombie did so much of the work himself on Halloween 2, and honestly the movie came out exactly how a scary movie should...if you like violence and gore. This movie had so much death and gore it was amazing. I shuddered at times witnessing the violence and sound effects of the kills. Michael was a sheer brute, dismembering heads with shards of glass, stepping on a head until it exploded like a watermelon under Gallagher sledge hammer, and making knife kills look like art. There was kill after kill, almost everyone who appeared in the movie was slaughtered shortly there after. The thing that made the movie was the plot twist with Jason's sister..and I wont say any more to spoil it for you if you haven't seen it.

I give this movie 2 thumbs up and a recommendation if you like being uncomfortable at the theater :)

G.I. Joe was the quintessential action movie of the beginning of fall for me. I love that they covered the back stories of Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, the two best characters in the movie. There was action throughout, explosions and nano tech that made you think what the future might be like if technology falls in the hands of the wrong people. Breaker, Ripcord, Heavy Duty, Duke, all great characters. The concept of the nano's eating through anything they hit and having a kill switch reminds me of the rendition of "The Day the Earth Stood Still" with Keano Reves. As for the storey, it was cheesy where it needed to be and fun as well. Just go see it.

So at this cafe they have an open stage for people to come up and play live music, it's a really cool vibe so I caught some footage.

Raise and shine Supernatural fans, our Winchester boys r back in town 2nite! If you know anything about me then you know I'm a huge fan of great TV series. And at the top of my current chart is Supernatural. Dean and Sam, the Winchester boys, daemon hunters extraordinaire, take on the pits of hell on earth and battle it out with some of the coolest special effects TV can produce with a limited budget and time frame. These bad ass SOB's drive a classic, black, cherry impala (don't know what year) with a rumble in the engine that will boil the blood of any red blooded American man with a beating pulse. As they journey from adventure to adventure, hunt to hunt, they enlist the aid of helpful daemon Lillith, experienced hunter and life long friend Bobby, and even get some assistance from ....shall I spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet? an angel.

Anyway, its a friggin amazing show and I recommend it for anyone who wants a break from monotony TV drama and reality TV bullshit. Where can you see it? Look it up online for your local listing and chanels...

Spollight Fashion: Maria Blaisse (from www.fashion-ation.net)

Many artists are inspired by movement, but none more so than the amazing 80’s sculptor, Maria Blaisse. An iconic and revolutionary artist, Maria created intricate, spherical foam forms that sculptured the body creating unique shapes. Fashion, nature and art merge together in Maria’s world to form exaggerated proportions, bold shapes and directional images.

Inspired by studying dancers movements, her work was legendary and so were her collaborations with Issey Miyake. Dazed and Confused were also inspired by her work with stylist Karen Langley commissioning set designer Gary Card to re-create some of Maria’s key pieces to mix back into the shoot captured by Jason Kibbler. Gary was mindful of using Maria’s aesthetic without been too “literal” with his creations. Appendix Photos/Video

I decided I would share with you some photos from the hospital, of my scars, and shoot a quick little clip to show you what my scars (or band aids really) look like. They gave me three small incisions and the procedure really only took about 45 mins. It was an interesting experience waking up and hearing a nurse tell me the procedure was over and that I am fine.

In all honesty, though I was in pain the entire time leading up to the surgery, my curiosity about having surgery was really strong. I was actually excited to have surgery! I know, it sounds crazy but not ever having been put to sleep for something made the thought of going into surgery very exciting.

The hospital that I stayed at was very nice. There were about 9 to 10 different nurses on each shift and I swear I saw every one of them while I was there for my one and a half days. No joke, I had my vitals check every hour by a different nurse! And I knew who my assigned nurse was.... lol. There was Holly, Rebeca, Sheryl, Donna and a few who's names I don't remember but I must have met at least 20 different nurses. They were extremely nice though :) They brought me whatever I wanted, fed me soup, fluffed my pillows, chilled my jello....you know, regular hospital stuff. It was so funny, one actually told me I had a muscular stomach. Right after that I had two nurses come in and "check out" my scars.

Funny thing is, my stomach, as you can tell, is very bruised, puffy and inflated looking around the incision area.

So now recovery is kind of painful. I'm sore, but it goes with the territory. I'm a pretty restless guy at times so I've been doing a lot of walking around. I don't want to shrivel like a vegetable after all.

Appendicitis

I just underwent an emergency operation to remove my appendix after an excruciating 16 hrs of pain. It started on Wednesday afternoon and i bared the pain until Thursday morning around 8 am when I decided to go to the emergency room. After running an IV of several different fluids and asking me a multitude of questions, the hospital decided to give me a CT scan which revealed a swollen appendix on the brink of rupture. Luckily, to the credit of the wonderful people of this great hospital they noticed the problem before it became serious. At 4 pm I went under the knife and at 5 pm my appendix was out. Now, after most of the pain med has worn off, I'm beginning to feel the pain.

Ted Kennedy Passes Away

I'm no expert to give an official report so I will just write briefly on this topic.

The last of the three brothers has passed away, the Lion of the Senate, and it feels as if we have all lost someone very close to us. Even though I hadn't even heard of the man 3 years ago, I have learned so much about him in the last few days that I now know that Senator Kennedy has done so much for this country that goes unspoken of that its really rather sad. Senator Kennedy enriched the lives of countless Americans. He has "made possible historic advances in civil rights, equal education opportunities, removal of barriers for people with disabilities, judicial justice, workers' and retirees' rights, and, of course, and has led us to the cusp of decent, affordable health care for everyone".

There has rarely been in our American history a family as well known and as patriotic as the Kennedy's. And rarely has there ever been an American family that has seen as much tragedy, loosing two brothers to assassination and almost being killed himself in a plane crash.

First elected in November 1962, he was elected nine times and served for 46 years in the U.S. Senate. At the time of his death, he was the second most senior member of the Senate, and the third-longest-serving senator in U.S. history. For many years the most prominent living member of the Kennedy family, he was the son of Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr., the youngest brother of President John F. Kennedy and Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and the father of Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy.

We as a country owe Ted and his family a great deal of gratitude and should all look to their accomplishments as examples of what true dedication to a cause can achieve.

So I want to ask the time old question....whats more comfortable? Boxers? Briefs? or Commando? And of course the benefits and negatives of your response. I personally enjoy Commando more then any other choice, but that's only in the summer. Otherwise, I'm a boxers guy.

Now that she's staring down a $24 million lawsuit, Annie Leibovitz is running out of choices. With Art Capital Group claiming the rights to her photo archive, real estate and other assets posted as collateral, some experts say bankruptcy would buy her some time to find a new plan. But, it would come at the cost of privacy, as the photographers finances would be thrust into the public eye.

Neither Leibovitz's attorneys nor financial advisers returned Bloomberg News' calls for comment, but experts suggest that desperate times call for desperate measures. Filing for protection would push litigation into the future and secure the artist a bit of leverage. Hell, maybe it would buy her some time to see if Miley Cyrus wants to get naked again. I don't know if that would be worth $24 million, but I'm sure it would help Leibovitz to chip away at the debt.

Industry insiders seem to call Art Capital Group a capital source of last resort, though that's probably a bit unfair. If you're pledging collateral or are otherwise transacting in an illiquid market, common sense is necessary. And, let's face it, if traditional banks played in this space, Leibovitz may not have been hit with such tough terms. But, it's hard to believe she didn't know the rules of the game.

Mum's the word for now on Leibovitz's future. One thing is certain, however: she didn't spend the money on makeup.

This is amazingly bad

So while waiting for my photo shoot results I figured Id share some of my eccentric sense of humor with you and show you some videos I find funny. This is definitely one of the worst music videos of all time. Take a look.

Being home reminds me of how much you miss something until its gone. Though I love NY and would live there, the essence of home is that you feel comfortable there and want to go back to it everyday. Well, I know that for someone like me who travels often it is a good skill to acquire to make yourself feel comfortable where ever you go, but internally you feel the most comfortable when home. And so I am home and feel so relaxed after my 5 day expedition.

As some of you may have noticed by my interrupted blog postings that I have been going through an internal reorganization. With these new photo shoots and works my life has already began to curve in a new direction and so has my point of view and attitude towards my career. Theses, i know, are all for the best. And so the interruption in my blog postings has been due to my wondering what exactly do I want to share with you. For the most part in the last week it has been mainly filler. And understandably so, it is difficult to provide new and refreshing content everyday, especially for one man running his own blog about himself ;). I can tell you this much though, the photos I took in NY are exceptional. They are different from most of my work up until now and I know that you will appreciate them. I am expecting the first batch within a week from now so please stay tuned for an exclusive view as I receive them.

three succesful photoshoots completed!

So thus far I have had an AMAZING time in NY. I got to shoot with Richard Gerst, Thomas Synnamon, and Paul Reitz. Each shoot went amazingly well and I will be posting the photos here as they come to me. I also got to see some friends and eat at some amazing places. I ate at a Chinese dim sum place in Flushing Queens, at Le Colonial, a French Vietnamese restaurant on East 57th, and at Paris Commune, a very chik restaurant in the East Village where I met the owner, Hugo, who happens to be a very nice guy.

I traveled all over Manhattan and even got into Queens, then down to Brooklyn. The subways were alive with people. New York really is the American cultural epicenter and the people are amazing. Strong yet approachable, proud yet humble.

One thing I did notice, the Cabbies have amazing aim;)

Take it as you will, I'm tired and need to get ready to fly home.

Part One:

So I’m sitting here at midway airport by myself and I have a like three hours before my flight, the airport is void of people besides a few sleepers on the benches and a few security guards and cleaning people. I’m very excited to see NY again. Aside from Chicago, there’s no other city like it in the states. More then anything, I’m excited to see my friends, and get new shots done. I may do a little sight seeing and perhaps step out one or two nights, but for the most part it’s all business. As always though, I forgot to pack something, it happens more often then not. I forgot my ipod charger and have zero juice. I’m hoping the shops have an electronic store I can buy one at cuz flying with no tunes is no fun. Wish someone could bring me one.

Part Two:

Found someone to lend me an ipod cord. A techy looking guy ended up being pretty cool about letting me borrow one for a good hour and I’ve charged my pod to completion. At my gate, A9, only 15 people here so far. I though for sure there would be no pretty girls on my flight because its getting close to boarding, but finally one walked into this gate. She’s well dressed and looks like she comes from money. I’ve been watching CNN and the minuets pass by. I usually don’t watch news but listen to it on NPR.

Part Three:

I bought myself a GQ for reading material on the plane, but more like fashion update material. Channing Tatum is on the cover, should be me ;) Daylight finally broke. My Sony Via is a pile of junk, its just waiting on the right critical moment to bite the dust on me and quit for good. Then again I do abuse the poor thing. Can’t wait to get seated and fall asleep with my headphones on. Can’t wait to hit the city and get some food. I need to find a nice gym to work out at during my trip.

First, I've been getting so much fan mail its extremely hard to keep up with it all and so if I haven't responded to you I'm sorry, my mail box is swamped.

Second, last night I saw District 9. My opinion of the movie? AMAZING!!!!! truly an amazing film. A ground breaking film. With out giving to much away, I just want you to go out and see it and judge for yourself. It was not very publicized yet the movie is one of the best I have seen in an extremely long time.

Third, I'm pretty sure I will be in NY the 19th till the 22nd. I've booked some pretty amazing photo shoots and so I will post the photos as soon as I get them back.

What I'm into

So a fan sent me an email with a suggestion that I should write about some of the thins I'm into. and i decided I would share with you one thing I am, and have been, into since I was much younger. Cartoons. Well, actually, Anime cartoons, and no not the porn Anime, although it is kinda sexy sometimes, but just good ol' Japanese Anime. I recently got into the Witchblade series and its pretty good, but the animation could use some sprucing up. I literally have seen almost every single Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball GT episode. I know I've seen every single Gundam Wing episode. I also used to watch Sailor moon because it came on after school on cartoon network. Man, I could list soooo many cartoons Ive watched and been into.

Another thing I'm really into is Kung Fu/Martial Arts Movies. Man, I am soooo into that. Bruce Lee movies, Jacki Chan movies, Jet lee, the Shaw Brothers, Legend of the Iron Fist, Shaolin Temple, One Armed Swordsmen, Drunken Master, Snake in the Eagles Shadow....ok you get the point. So yeah, I'm definitely am Asian film/cartoon buff.

And lets not forget the women. I'm a sucker for a cute Asian chick with long hair, a slim waist and a pretty face. I guess we all have our own unique taste :)
